A side-channel blower or extractor increases the pressure of the incoming gas by creating a series of vortices in the circumferential toroidal channel caused by the rotor's centrifugal thrust. As the rotor rotates, the vanes push the gas forward and outward due to the centrifugal force, producing a helical motion.
During this movement, the gas is compressed several times, resulting in a linear increase in pressure along the channel.
