Canal Lateral

Using blades, this small, very quiet machine can be integrated into compact solutions; it is particularly suitable for a wide range of industrial processes and compact water treatment or biogas solutions.

Working Principle

A side-channel blower or extractor increases the pressure of the incoming gas by creating a series of vortices in the circumferential toroidal channel caused by the rotor's centrifugal thrust. As the rotor rotates, the vanes push the gas forward and outward due to the centrifugal force, producing a helical motion.

During this movement, the gas is compressed several times, resulting in a linear increase in pressure along the channel.

Side Channel Working Principle

ATEX Compliant Solutions

For the extraction or compression of flammable gases such as biogas or methane gas, a complete range of hermetic side channel blowers is available with the following features:

  • The body and propeller are made entirely of spark-proof aluminum alloy.
  • Parts in contact with gas impregnated with Loctite.
  • Sealed funds.
  • The shaft is sealed with a special lip seal that does not require lubrication.
  • Explosion-proof electric motors with minimum protection class EEx-d IIB T.3-IP 55. Motors complying with NEMA, SABS, and other standards are available on request. Machines for motors up to 4 kW are manufactured in a "MONOBLOC" version. In this version, the motor is connected to the machine body by a flange; the dynamically balanced impeller is clamped directly to the motor shaft.
